(Kingston, Jamaica) Derrimon Trading Company Limited (DTL) hosted its 25th anniversary church service on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Fellowship Tabernacle. The church service marked the beginning of a year-long commemoration. Notable attendees included His Excellency the Most Hon. The company, known for its commitment to excellence and community engagement, gathered employees, partners, and well-wishers for a heartfelt service to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and envision a bright future.
“As we come together at this moment, let’s think about the journey we’ve undertaken, driven by faith and steered by the hand of God. Along the way, we’ve encountered numerous milestones and navigated challenges, each serving as a testament to the unpredictability of life. And yet, standing here today, we are living proof of resilience and steadfast determination,” expressed Derrick Cotterell, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at DerrimonTrading Company Limited, during the 25th anniversary service.
The service featured robust praise and worship, ministry in song by the Derrimon Group Voices, reflections on the company’s journey, and the Word which focused on the spiritual pillar of faith, delivered by Pastor Al Miller, Head Minister of Fellowship Tabernacle.
Derrimon Trading has evolved significantly since its inception in 1998. From a small venture to a nationally recognised distributor, the company has consistently delivered quality products while prioritising social responsibility and community development. The anniversary celebration is an opportunity to recognise the collective efforts that have shaped DTL into the industry leader it is today.
“Derrimon‘s 25 year journey is an inspiring tale of adding value to society, standing tall in competition, and actively shaping the future. Beyond financial success, DTL prioritises people, setting standards, and caring for customers. With strategic moves and a strong identity, Derrimon has become an essential presence in supermarkets and wholesalers. Acknowledging the board’s vision, this company embodies resilience, innovation, and a commitment to something greater. I express sincere gratitude to the team for building lives and contributing to the future of manufacturing and distribution. Derrimon is more than a company, they are a force for positive change and a beacon of inspiration,” shared The Honourable Robert Nesta Morgan, Minister without Portfolio with responsibility for Information in the Office of the Prime Minister, in his remarks.
