DERRIMON TRADING COMPANY LIMITED ELEVATES TVJ’s SCHOOL’S CHALLENGE QUIZ PRIZES WITH SHARES AND FINANCIAL LITERACY WORKSHOPS

210,000 DTL SHARES ISSUED TO SCQ 1st & 2nd PLACE WINNERS

(Kingston, Jamaica) Derrimon Trading Company Limited, in collaboration with their Delect Foods Brand, has made history in the 55th season of TVJ’s Schools’ Challenge Quiz (SCQ) by introducing shares as part of the prize package for the winning and runner-up teams. This groundbreaking move highlights the company’s commitment to nation-building and providing the next generation with essential financial education and tools for success.

As a part of the prize package from Delect Foods, the winning team, St. Jago High School, and the runner-up team, Calabar High School, have received an array of prizes aimed at fostering financial literacy and holistic development among students and coaches. The prize breakdown is as follows:

Winning Team (St. Jago High School):

  1. 25,000 Derrimon Trading Shares for each member of the winning team (4 members + 2 coaches) – Total: 150,000 shares
  2. Delect Foods Baskets for each member (4 members + 2 coaches)
  3. Financial literacy workshop for the team and coaches focusing on “Investment for Beginners.”
  4. J$100,000 cash prize for each player (4 players)

Runner-Up Team (Calabar High School):

  1. 10,000 Derrimon Trading Shares for each member of the runner-up team (4 members + 2 coaches)
  2. Delect Foods Baskets for each member (4 members + 2 coaches)
  3. Financial literacy workshop for the team and coaches focusing on “Investment for Beginners”
  4. J$50,000 cash prize for each player (4 players)

The total prize value, including the shares, stands at J$1,275,600 along with additional baskets with an assortment of products from Delect Foods.
