“St. George’s College not only has a rich history of academic excellence but also a strong legacy of football accomplishments. This commitment to excellence resonates with our “Refresh” brand so it was practical for us to associate our brand with St. George’s College and this Tournament. People with an active lifestyle typically exert a lot of energy especially in high intensity events. Therefore, it’s very important for them to keep hydrated. Refresh provides that needed replenishment of fluid that the body requires while offering a light pleasant taste . So it’s a perfect complementary product for sports and wellness in general. We believe this will be the first of many partnerships that will support the wellness of our sporting community,” shared Sheldon Simpson, General Manager of Distributions at Derrimon Trading Company Ltd, the manufacturers and distributors of Refresh Water.

St. George’s College won the overall tournament with a total of 7 points receiving J$100,000.00 from Refresh Water, St. Andrew Technical were the 2nd place holders with 3 points, and both BB Coke High School and William Knibb High School shared nil points.
Technical Director for Football at St. George’s College and Tournament Organizer Neville Bell, shared, “It was a fantastic feeling to be hosting this tournament once again. We’ve never repeated our teams so every single year, we invite three new teams and it’s fantastic to have a new sponsor, Refresh water which has helped us a lot. This tournament was an important one because it’s very close to the schoolboy season, so every year, all the teams who are invited really look forward to this. And thanks to our partner, Refresh water the schools were able to play two games, and even the lowest point scoring team received a prize of J$40,000, so thanks again to our partner Refresh Water.”
